VIDEO: Rain doesn’t stop Penticton Terry Fox Run

Around 200 people showed up to raise money for cancer research Sunday

There may have been rain in the sky, but the weather never stopped Terry Fox almost forty years ago, and it didn’t stop the 39th annual Terry Fox Marathon of Hope in Penticton on Sunday.

From kids to seniors, including 88-year old Barbara Walsh, hundreds braved the rain for the cause.

This year, Penticton’s Terry Fox Run raised just short of $7,000 with the help of 200 participants, according to organizers.

Many participants have had some experience with cancer, either within their own family, or through friends.
