Just the Facts: The B.C. Teachers Strike (VIDEO)

41,000 on-strike teachers may return to classrooms soon, after a tentative deal was reached between the BCTF and the government.

This morning, B.C.’s teachers union and the government reached a (tentative) deal to halt the current classroom strike and re-open schools around the province, so the video above may not be of interest anymore.

41,000 teachers are currently on strike in British Columbia, and their job action has cost them an average of $6,000 in wages since June 17. The province, during that time, has saved $12 million every day schools have been closed.
