This historic photo is of a stagecoach at Welby Stage lines in Penticton on its way to Hedley in 1907. It took three days to get to Hedley with many changes of horses along the route. First stopping house was Clarkes at Apex Creek on Green Mountain Road, then Upper Keremeos Hotel next to where the cemetery is today, and Hedley the next day. It would go on to Princeton (Vermillion Forks). The round trip back to Penticton would conclude by day 10. (Historic BC/ Facebook)
