The joy of the season is once again up and running at the McIntosh family home in the form of their 1,500-piece Christmas village.
The annual tradition that includes city and rural scenes with festive lighting and colours is a labour intensive work that requires about 36 hours in total to put together and takes up the better part of their Charlene and Jock’s living room.

The best thing is the couple is again opening their doors for the public to come inside and see the many mechanical and stationary pieces, most of which have special meaning.
“This is a huge part of our Christmas and it’s so nice to have people come and have a look,” said Charlene.
Viewing this year is Saturday Dec. 16 from 2 to 7 p.m. Their house is location at 2585- Dartmouth Dr.
As usual there will be appies for visitors and donations will once again go to the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4281 which Charlene is a member of.
All of the money is used for local charity work.
