Festival of the Grape:

Oliver's Festival of the Grape is an all-ages festival and is part of the Okanagan Fall Wine Festival. The event is opened with a ceremonial blessing of the harvest and is followed by a trade show, which includes vendors of items of items like cheeses and wine accessories.

Okanagan Fest-of-Ale:

The South Okanagan may be known as wine country but it's also beer country, easily demonstrated by the thousands that turn out each year for Penticton's annual Fest-of-Ale. And just to prove the point, Okanagan Fest-of-Ale organizers offer over 80 different brews at the event, including local favourites like the Tin Whistle and the Cannery Breweries, as well as many from farther afield, including Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia and Washington State. Each year, the event proves its popularity as tickets are snapped up as soon as they go on sale.  But all this beer drinking is for a good cause as all the proceeds from the event are distributed to a number of local charities.
