It’s raining across South Okanagan this first day of August.
According to Environment Canada, there will be a chance of showers or a few showers throughout today and this evening and Monday morning. But Environment Canada is also predicting some thunderstorms to go with that.
This will be the first day of any precipitation in South Okanagan in over two months. It might not be enough to clear the smoky skies or help with the two huge wildfires burning out of control in Osoyoos and OK Falls.
But it is welcome reprieve for tinder dry conditions. The rain will also cool things down a bit.
