Road works is underway in various locations around Penticton with several major routes facing disruptions.
There will be ongoing disruptions on Carmi Avenue for the next couple of weeks and it’s recommended to avoid the area if possible and use alternate routes.
Carmi Avenue was one lane alternating traffic between Government and Halifax on Tuesday.
Okanagan Avenue is also under construction between Quebec St and Atkinson until mid-November and should be avoided if possible. Single lane alternating traffic on Atkinson at Okanagan to facilitate underground utility work took place Tuesday.
Work is also currently underway at Fairview Road, between Hastings and Industrial, as well as Power St, between Lakeshore Drive and Westminster.
