Every farmer and vendor at the Penticton Farmers Market offers something unique for tourists and locals alike. Penticton Western News is offering a closer look at the individuals behind the stalls.

This week is a closer look at Ambercott Acres, from Cawston, BC.

“Personally, I got started for the love of growing and the love of food, and wanting to know more about where our food comes from,” said Kait Forrest, one of the farmers at Ambercott Acres.

In addition to some fresher produce, Ambercott Acres offers a wide range of dried products.

“We grow everything fresh, and then we cut it or process it, and then put it on our dry deck,” said Forrest. “We do fruit rolls, and dried fruits as well, and a lot of apricots.”

Ambercott Acres is one of unique farmers and vendors that make the Penticton Farmers’ Market so popular. Every week the Penticton Western News is taking a look at them, and many others, which you can see in previous Meet Your Farmer segments. You can see them in person every Saturday in downtown Penticton at the Farmers’ Market.
