Even through a pandemic, Penticton has come together for the best year of support for the BC Thanksgiving Food Drive.
This year more than six tons of food and goods were donated to the food drive. Close to $2,000 in cash donations were also received from the community.
Those cash donations can be stretched even further, with local food banks able to buy with three times the purchasing power of an average person.
The contactless food drive collected bags of donations from across the community.
Despite some routes on the food drive having fewer donations, those who did donate more than made up the difference.

Cash donations from local businesses were significantly higher than any previous year, according to the food bank.
This year also saw many apartments join the drive for the first time, with residents of multi-family homes, gated communities and stratas signing up to participate and donate.
