For the second year, organizers behind the Quintessence Breastfeeding Challenge are taking the event to into the great outdoors.

It’s a fun event where communities from around the world compete to see who has the most babies breastfeeding at one time, said the organizers. This year, they have a local challenge, to see if Penticton can get more mothers and children out than Kelowna.

This year, the event is again set for the Farmers’ Market in the 100 block of Main Street, and gets underway Saturday at 10 a.m. with “latch” time scheduled for 11 a.m.
