Drummers welcome people to the grounds of Gyro Park to kick off National Aboriginal Day Tuesday.
The event was a collaboration between the Penticton Indian Band, Ooknakane Friendship Centre, the Upper Similkameen Indian Band, the Lower Similkameen Indian Band and the Osoyoos Indian Band as they joined together for an outdoor cultural celebration on the first day of Summer.
National Aboriginal Day is a celebration of First Nations, Inuit and Metis culture.
