New acting vice principal for Penticton Secondary School

The Board of Education of School District No. 67 (Okanagan Skaha) announced on Friday that Bo Boxall was appointed acting vice-principal of Penticton Secondary School.

For the past seven years, Boxall has worked as a teacher in the district, at both Princess Margaret and Penticton Secondary Schools. Additional experience in the district includes serving as principal of the Okanagan Skaha School District Middle / Summer School Program in 2017, participating in the Learning to Lead, Leading to Learn Series and member of the district initiatives, including the Through a Different Lens Project and sitting on the District Curriculum Implementation Planning Committee. In addition, Boxall was the Director of Sport for the 2016 B.C. Winter Games that were hosted in Penticton.

Boxall has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Victoria and is currently enrolled in a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership and Management at Royal Roads University.

He succeeds Andrea Devito who has been appointed as principal of Uplands Elementary School. Boxall will take the role effective Jan. 1, 2018 until July 31, 2018.
