South Okanagan residents are about to have a new option for medical cosmetic treatments.
A group of five Okanagan women have come together with the collective goal of opening a cosmetic clinic in Penticton that treats clients like family.
Their vision of a unique, boutique aesthetic clinic is now almost a reality as South Okanagan Laser and Skin Centre is set for its soft opening July 5.
The clinic’s founders have previously worked together in the industry. Now at the helm of their own clinic, they hope to bring South Okanaganers a different option in the cosmetic world with an emphasis on a holistic, client-focused treatment.
Family physician Dr. Marcy Craddock will serve as the clinic’s medical director, she’ll be joined by nurse and laser technician Nicky Havers, esthetician Carmen Josay, client care specialist Faye Gartner and marketing coordinator Rochelle Diaz.
The women set out to open a clinic that is completely free of the negative stereotypes sometimes attached to cosmetic clinics.
Everyone at the clinic expressed a strong passion for providing a very personalized client experience where clients feel at ease. “We really want to make a space where clients can come and feel comfortable,” said Dr. Craddock.
By focusing on long-term, personal care and developing relationships with clients the group hopes they can empower people in the South Okanagan by not only helping them improve their body image but also their overall well-being.
“I love empowering women through self-confidence and positive body image. I love helping women on their journey through positive change and self-care. I also love the connection I make with my clients,” said Havers.
Another shared value of the clinic’s founders is a commitment to supporting other local businesses and creators.
The chic clinic was put together with the help of local contractors and all of the decor is sourced from local artists.
“We really want to connect with Penticton and the South Okanagan,” said Josay.
In terms of services offered, the clinic offers everything you would expect from a cosmetic clinic and more. This includes botox, fillers, advanced facials and state-of-the-art laser treatment. For a full list of services visit their website at solaserandskin.ca.
The new clinic in Penticton will also be home to a handful of laser machines and systems that can’t be found anywhere else in the region such as the endymed laser and the Bella MD skincare system.
Havers, the clinic’s laser technician, is one of five national trainers for Canada’s largest laser distributor. She frequently travels across the country to teach others how to use cosmetic lasers to achieve optimum results.
The clinic is planning on introducing an annually renewed VIP membership with two ‘silver’ tiers ($490 annually) and a ‘gold’ tier ($990 annually). Membership packages are offered on a first come first serve basis with only a select number available.
The clinic will officially hold its soft opening Monday, July 5 located at 20-88 Duncan Ave. W, across from Safeway.
For more information on membership packages and the treatments they include you can visit the clinic or contact them via phone at 778-476-5866 or email at info@solaserandskin.ca
