A Penticton mother continues to honour the memory of her son who she lost to addiction back in 2016.

Each year Janet Parker raises funds in her son Colin’s name. This year Parker and her team at Parker’s Chrysler made a commitment to Discovery House, Addiction Recovery Homes for Men.

During the Discovery House, annual fall harvest dinner fundraiser funds were raised for men in the community facing issues of addiction.

Janet Parker, owner of Parker’s Chrysler attended the event along with general manager, Jim Tabler, and several Parker’s staff members.

At the dinner, Parker and her team presented a donation of $20,000 to support programs offered by the team at Discovery House.

“Janet’s son Colin struggled with addiction which eventually led to his life being lost. He was a beautiful soul that we lost way too early,” stated Tabler.

Parker and her team continue to raise awareness and continue the dialogue about addiction.

“We will continue to support this great organization and tremendous team working to help men in our community. We can’t bring Colin back but hopefully, we can help other men in their journey and just continue the conversation,” said Tabler.
