School District 67 issued a memo to parents on Sept. 9 on what buses will look like this year amid the pandemic.
Students taking the bus are asked to be at the pick-up stop five minutes before their scheduled pick-up, and parents are recommended to stay with their kindergarten to Grade 5 children until the bus arrives.
At the pick up locations, students are asked to line up and maintain social distancing while waiting. Students in Grades 6 to 12 are asked to wear their mask at all times.

When boarding the bus, students are to head to the furthest available seat unless the driver directs otherwise. Students are also asked to stay in their seats until the seat in front has moved before getting up to exit the bus.
Bus routes will use a seating plan when possible that takes into account learning groups and families.
No eating or drinking will be allowed on the bus. There will be no unregistered riders on busses, such as friends who want to go home with a student who rides that bus.
The district has advised that students will be required the rules or risk losing their busing privileges.

The district also asked parents to prepare their children for the bus driver to be wearing a surgical mask and either a face shield or safety glasses.
