Penticton’s Dream Cafe continues to bring in talented musicians with the May 7 show by Blues Hall of Fame musician Michael Charles.
With a career stretching more than 50 years and 38 albums, including a 30-year anthology released in 2014, Charles has created music and shared his talents with audiences for half a century.
From his hometown of Melbourne, Australia to tours around the world, Charles has performed on television, radio, and alongside Chicago blues legend Buddy Guy.
After being invited to perform alongside Guy at the Legends in Chicago, Charles moved to America to work the blues circuit.
His latest international tour brings him from the U.S. to Canada and Australia, with one stop in Penticton.

Tickets for the performance at the Dream Cafe are available for $25 and can be purchased online.
The show is one of many the cafe has been able to put on through the support of a grant from the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings. That grant helped to allow the cafe to re-open as well as to partner with Misty Mountain Sound to record and stream the live performances.
More information about the Dream Cafe and their coming line up of artists, as well as tickets for the shows, can be found online at thedreamcafe.ca.
