Canadian blues giant Colin James coming back to Penticton

James will rock the Cleland Theatre stage June 10

It hasn’t exactly been Five Long Years, but Canadian chart-topping blues guitarist and singer Colin James is coming back to Penticton next month after at least a two year absence.

James will rock the stage of Cleland Theatre on June 10. This is a rescheduled concert from March 2020.

James released his 20th studio album Nov. 5, 2021 and it’s a 2022 JUNO award nominee for Blues Album of the Year and it’s Top 5 on the Roots Music Report’s Canadian Chart for its 16th week.

His 1988 self-titled debut, featuring two self-penned hits “Voodoo Thing” and “Five Long Years,” was the fastest-selling album in Canadian history. Just Came Back was also wildly popular.

He is also credited with launching the swing revival, thanks to his wildly popular Little Big Band where songs like Surely (I love you) and Cadillac Baby came out of.

Check out his newest video Down on the Bottom below:

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Cleland Theatre. For more information click here.
