Coquitlam author and current Burnaby educator David Russell will be at Coles in Penticton on Sunday to sign copies of Last Dance.

Last Dance is the story of a hate-fuelled crime against a gay student who wants to bring his same sex partner to the high school graduation dance. The story follows Winston Patrick, a struggling former lawyer-turned-teacher who investigates what appears to be a hate crime. This character was first introduced in Russell's award winning debut novel Deadly Lessons. In the 2006 novel, Patrick finds himself embroiled in a murder at the very high school at which he has his first teaching job.

Russell will sign copies of Last Dance at Coles in Cherry Lane Shopping Centre from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
