Honeymoon Suite can’t get enough of the Penticton Peach Festival, and they’re coming back for another go in 2024.

The band will headline the Okanagan Lake Park stage on Aug. 10.

Opening for Honeymoon Suite is multi-Juno nominee band the Odds.

“We are thrilled to welcome Honeymoon Suite and the Odds to the Penticton Peach Festival. These bands are not just performers; they are storytellers, it’s an honour to host such legendary acts at our festival,” said Peach Festival entertainment director, Alysha Forrest.

Honeymoon Suite recorded 17 hit singles in Canada and several of those tunes also charted in the U.S. Among their biggest hits are: Love Changes Everything; New Girl Now; Burning In Love; and Feel It Again.

Honeymoon Suite also made its mark in Hollywood over the years. Their hit, Bad Attitude, was used in Miami Vice; What Does It Take was featured in the John Cusack movie “One Crazy Summer;” and the band wrote and performed the theme song for Mel Gibson’s “Lethal Weapon.”

Their latest album Alive released on Feb. 16.

Original singer Johnnie Dee and lead guitarist Derry Grehan still lead the group. Long-time members Gary Lalonde, Dave Betts and Peter Nunn round out the quintet.

The Odds, formed in B.C. in the 90s, have been commanding the airwaves with hits including Make You Mad and Someone Who’s Cool.

The sound they’re most familiar to most Canadians will be the theme song for Corner Gas, the popular TV comedy.

The Penticton Peach Festival is scheduled for five days of free entertainment from Aug. 7 to 11. For more information and the full lineup of entertainment, you can visit peachfest. com
