Winter storm warnings remain in effect Saturday, Feb. 24, for the Coquihalla Highway, Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton and Trans-Canada Highway from Eagle Pass to Roger Pass.

Environment Canada is forecasting between 25 to 40 centimetres of snow later tonight, with up to 50 cm expected to fall on the Coquihalla Summit.

The winter storm warning will stay in effect through Sunday evening, Feb. 25.

“Strong gusty winds are expected to accompany the heavy snow on Sunday that will further reduce visibility in blowing snow,” Environment Canada said in a statement.

Motorists are asked to check DriveBC.ca for updates.
