Penticton RCMP is looking for any witnesses to a hit-and-run that seriously injured a cyclist near the hospital.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at the intersection of Government Street and Carmi Avenue after the woman was hit by the truck at around 10:45 a.m., on April 28.

The woman had been traveling with other cyclists when she fell off her bicycle, before being struck by the truck.

The truck, described as a 2010-2015 model-year mid-sized pick-up, with a logo on it, did not stop but continued driving south on Government Street.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking for any witnesses, especially those who may have dash-cam video of the incident, to come forward with any information that might help the investigation.
