Penticton Vees forward Cade Littler will miss the remainder of the 2023-2024 regular season due to an upper-body injury, the team announced Tuesday, Feb. 27.

Littler, who was selected by the Calgary Flames in the seventh round of the 2022 NHL Draft, suffered the injury when the Vees visited the Cranbrook Bucks last Saturday. Team officials told the Western News he is currently scheduled to return during the BCHL playoffs.

The East Wenatchee, Wash. product was traded to Penticton on Nov. 21, after spending the first part of his season in the United States Hockey League.

Littler, 19, has 21 points in 24 games with the Vees this season.

The forward is committed to the University of North Dakota for the 2024-2025 campaign.

Penticton will embark on a three-game road trip to start March, visiting Langley, Coquitlam and West Kelowna in succession.

The Vees have a total of 10 regular-season games left before the playoffs. They return to the South Okanagan Events Centre on March 9 to host Merritt Centennials.
