PHOTOS: Falkland Stampede bucks on despite weather

The 104th edition of the historic stampede kicked off on Saturday, May 18

For the May long weekend, Falkland, B.C. becomes the epicentre of stampede action.

The Falkland Stampede kicked off its 104th edition on Saturday, May 18, in front of a busy crowd.

Dubbed B.C.’s oldest rodeo event, the stampede drew thousands, despite the weather, which resembled more like a fall day.

Two more days remain, with the popular parade kicking off Sunday’s festivities at 12:30 p.m., before another day of rodeo action begins at 2 p.m.

The three-day event will wrap up on Monday, with the rodeo starting at 1 p.m.
