To better accommodate the plans some may have for Easter, the Penticton Vees’ showdown with the West Kelowna Warriors on Sunday will start two hours before it was originally scheduled.
The game on March 31 at the South Okanagan Events Centre— which serves as both teams’ final regular-season game — will begin at 2 p.m., instead of 4 p.m., representatives from the Vees reminded the community this week. The change was first announced in January.
An end-of-season awards ceremony will commence after the game.
Penticton and West Kelowna sit No. 1 and 2 in the Interior Conference. The former will battle the Prince George Spruce Kings in the playoffs’ first round, which begins on April 5.
Before the Vees and Warriors put a wrap on the regular season, Penticton hosts the Trail Smoke Eaters at the SOEC on Friday night, March 29.
