Baby found inside alleged Penticton drug house

Penticton RCMP make arrests of alleged drug traffickers.

A baby was located inside a Penticton residence where RCMP Drug Task Force officers seized quantities of cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills..

On April 4, RCMP searched a house in the 1000 block of Government Street, arresting three adult females and one adult male.

“The four adults were lodged into Penticton RCMP cells and the baby was turned over to a responsible adult, and the Ministry of Children and Families was notified,” said Cpl. Brad Myhre.

Three of the adults were released with no charges and one adult female was released to appear in court at a later date, facing charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of Percocet pills and marijuana. None of the adults had previous criminal records.

On April 5, Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force officers arrested two males, ages 30 and 32, while on foot in the 800 block of Fairview Road for trafficking in marijuana. RCMP located a quantity of marijuana and trafficking paraphernalia on one of the men.

One of the males was released with no charges while the other was released to appear in court at a later date facing charges of trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. According to RCMP, this male was found to have 15 previous criminal convictions out of Kelowna, including two for cocaine trafficking in 2008.
