Penticton residents are being asked to exercise moderation with their domestic water use in late March and early April while city crews connect a new water supply pipe.

Disruptions to water service are not anticipated over the two time periods: March 26 to 29 and April 2 to 6.

“It is important that residents be mindful of unnecessary water usage during this period so the city can continue to supply domestic water for household use, business use and firefighting,” said Tyler Figgitt, design supervisor.

The city of Penticton is asking residents to limit water consumption to only what is necessary for household or business purposes.

“Please do not use your irrigation system, fill swimming pools, wash vehicles or use water to clean exteriors of houses, driveways, decks or any other use outdoors during the affected period,” said Figgitt.

These conservation methods apply to domestic water use only. Commercial water use, such as car washes, is exempt.
