The contract, for $151,435, was awarded to MacKinley-Clark Paving.

The regional district was recently awarded $450,000 from the province through its Forest Employment Funding to complete trail improvements in the region. Staff have worked to complete a variety of tasks in the area.

The Kettle Valley Railway trail, between Myra Canyon and Penticton, has degraded as a result of motorized vehicle use and a lack of upgrades and maintenance.

Six submissions for this work were received. MacKinley-Clark had the lowest bid.
