For Wednesday, April 7, there were 91 new COVID-19 cases reported in the Interior Health region as cases rise rapidly across the province.

A letter from Interior Health has been sent to parents and caregivers in SD67 and SD53 about the increase in COVID cases in the region and the need to be extra vigilant with students.

In the letter, the health authority requests that parents and caregivers keep their children home if they are sick and to have them wear masks throughout the whole school day if they are in grades 4 to 12.
