An elderly woman was rescued early Monday morning from a swamp near South Beach Gardens Campground located 3833 Skaha Lake Rd.
Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene and were able to extricate the unidentified woman who was taken to Penticton Regional Hospital for treatment of hypothermia.
It is believed someone in the area heard the woman’s call for help and contacted 911.
