The evacuation alert has been rescinded for the Regal Ridge area on Anarchist Mountain near Osoyoos.
The alert was issued Thursday by the RDOS due to potential water and debris flow caused by a breached earthen dam upstream on Nine Mile Creek.
Crews are decommissoning that dam and have drained the reservoir behind it. The structures weren’t properly permitted.
Twelve homes were covered by the alert.
