Expect delays during PRH tower construction May 29-June 6

The ongoing construction work on the David E. Kampe Tower at Penticton Regional Hospital may result in delays for pedestrians and motorists between May 29 and June 6.

During these times Industrial Avenue will go to single lane, alternating traffic and the pedestrian crosswalk on Industrial will be moved to a new location on the east side of Ellis Creek Bridge.

Signage and flaggers will be in place at those locations to help foot and vehicle traffic navigate the area.

Motorists are advised to expect delays on Industrial Avenue when visiting the hospital. Drivers are urged to use caution, slow down for pedestrians, obey traffic signals and yield to flag people and security personnel.

Interior Health is thanks everyone for their patience during the construction of the new patient care tower.
