A Western News reporter says smoke is no longer visible from the fire.
Fire crews are continuing to work at on the grassfire, wetting down areas on the ridge.

A grassfire is burning just off Old Airport Road (near Green Mountain Road) just outside Penticton.
BC Wildfire Service, Penticton fire department, and the Penticton Indian Band fire department are actioning the fire.
Old Airport Road is now closed and is being used as a staging area for those working the fire.
The fire was called in at about 1:20 p.m.
Smoke is visible from the Channel Parkway.
