Guilty plea to arson of Penticton townhouses

A Penticton teen is pleading guilty to arson after the residents of four townhouse units in Cascade Gardens were displaced in a fire.

Sydney Leer, 18, pleaded guilty to arson damaging property in Penticton Provincial Court on Tuesday, Nov. 22. She has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric report with her pre-sentence report
