We need to have a dedicated person to go after sport tourism events both high profile and small/medium tournaments, plus focus on expanding the shoulder season.
Many sporting organizations and festival boards are volunteer run and need some help to expand, enhance, future proof, and market their event. The City should help as it is our facilities they generate revenues for, and our community that benefits from the tremendous economic impact and exposure.
