Update: Kamloops RCMP arrest 3 in hotel stabbing

A man sustained serious injuries after being stabbed in the Northbridge Hotel in Kamloops

Three people were arrested after a stabbing, on the North Shore in Kamloops Wednesday, left a 34-year-old Prince George man with serious injuries. Police believe this to be a targeted attack that may be drug related.

Kamloops RCMP responded to a call at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday after reports of a man suffering from stab wounds inside the Northbridge Hotel on Tranquille Road.

The victim was “bleeding profusely” from multiple wounds, RCMP said. First aid was provided on scene and once ambulance arrived, the man was transported to a medical facility. Despite the seriousness of his injuries, RCMP expect the man to survive.

“There were several third-party witnesses on this case,” Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Simon Pillay said. “When combined with nearby surveillance video, policed identified several suspects and their vehicle immediately.”

Nine minutes after being dispatched, police found the suspects’ vehicle — a black 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche — on Linden Avenue. There, three men and one woman were arrested without incident.

Jennifer Manual, 36, Devon McConnell, 39, and Derek Jensen, 33, each face an aggravated assault charge.

Evan Davis, 24, was arrested at the Linden Avenue residence on outstanding warrants. He is not believed to be involved with the assault that took place in the hotel.

RCMP are looking for further information and video footage of the suspects and the vehicle in question. Anyone with footage taken in the vicinity of Tranquille Road between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday are asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.
