I am against the 200 block revitalization plan in its current form, which includes widening all the sidewalks. I would rather see the sidewalks stay as is, and the west side changed to angled parking just like the 100 block.
Not only would this increase the available parking, it would also make it safer for passengers getting in and out, and allow for some handicapped parking spaces, of which there is currently none.
If a business wants their section of the sidewalk wider, then they can give up their storefront parking and cost share 50/50 with the city.
