In addition to cracking cases, RCMP officers can also crack a joke.
The Golden-Field detachment announced its newest member, a fuzzy grey bunny, in a Facebook post on Monday… April 1.
“With a nose like that, the RCMP have combined these fierce little salad eaters with our K9s (namely the B9 unit),” the post reads. “They can easily get into tight spaces that the dogs can’t and have been proven to be very successful tool in the fight against drugs with other law enforcement agencies so we decided to try it out.”
The much-appreciated April Fool’s Day post racked up 140 reactions, 27 shares and 11 comments including one saying that the “police are becoming so soft and cuddly” and another whose daughters suggested Officer Floof for a name.
