One person was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a single vehicle rollover on Anarchist Mountain in Osoyoos Sunday afternoon.

Anarchist Mountain firefighters with assistance from Osoyoos Fire Department responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 3 near Sasquatch Trail on Dec. 20.

Two patients with injuries were transported from the scene by ambulance. One patient was in more serious condition and was taken to Osoyoos Airport for airlift to hospital.

Extremely icy conditions on the highway require using due diligence and slowing down while travelling the Anarchist Mountain area, said the Anarchist Mountain Fire Department.

There have been several accidents on Anarchist Mountain over the past two months.

A winter weather warning has been issued for today, (Monday) with up to 20 cm of snow.
