UPDATE: RCMP release photo of man who allegedly robbed Osoyoos bank in broad daylight

The man did not produce a weapon and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash

In what is an unusual crime for recent times, a bank was robbed in Osoyoos on Monday in broad daylight.

Around 2 p.m., a lone man approached the teller and demanded money at the CIBC in Osoyoos.

According to RCMP there was no mention of a weapon, and no weapon was observed. Shortly after, the man left the bank and headed east on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

After reviewing the security footage, the RCMP released an updated description of the man believed to be involved.

He is described as a Caucasian man in his mid-30s and approximately six feet tall. He has blue eyes, and may have facial stubble or a short light-brown beard. At the time he was wearing a dark grey toque, a black hoodie with a square logo and the letter A in white, black pants, black gloves, and a disposable mask.

Anyone with information related to the robbery is asked to contact the Osoyoos RCMP at 250-492-7236.
