The City of Penticton is reminding residents that parking along parts of Fairview Road is not allowed due to bike lane construction.

The east side of Fairview between the Penticton Public Library and Duncan Avenue has been closed to parking to allocate the Lake-to-Lake bike lane.

Additionally, parking along the west side of Fairview Road will be unavailable for the remainder of this week while line painting of the bike lane is taking place.

All major work is expected to be done by the end of August with a short period of minor work to install signage along the lane.
