Penticton RCMP are on the hunt for a knife-wielding bandit who reportedly robbed the 24/7 Convenience Store at Main Street on Feb. 6 at 5:50 a.m.

According to Const. James Grandy, 24/7 store staff reported an unknown man entered their store, displayed a knife and motioned for the clerk to open the cash register.

He said the employee handed over the money and the robber immediately left. No one was injured.

Surveillance footage and a photo of the suspect were released by police with the hopes someone will recognize him.

The man is described as wearing an orange hoodie sweater, dark coloured pants and black and white athletic shoes.
