Penticton movie theatre closes due to COVID-19, again

In compliance with the new provincial public health orders

Landmark Cinemas 7 in Penticton has closed for the foreseeable future due to the new provincial health orders to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The theatre announced the closure Tuesday (Nov. 24) on their Facebook page.

“In compliance with the government of B.C.’s directive regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), this theatre is closed effective Tuesday, November 24,” reads a post on the theatre’s Facebook.

On Thursday (Nov. 19) the B.C. government announced new health orders including making masks mandatory in all indoor spaces and restricting social gatherings.

The theatre had previously closed at the start of lock-downs in the province from March until July.

The orders are in place until Dec. 7, when they will be re-evaluated based on the state of the pandemic at that time.
