Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force seized quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine.

A four-year-old toddler was watching TV amidst an alleged Penticton drug operation when RCMP Drug Task Force members executed a search warrant there earlier this week.

Cpl. Dan Moskaluk said officers seized quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine at a Fairview Avenue apartment complex on Wednesday, arresting one male and female.RCMP investigators contacted the Ministry of Children and Family Development, who arranged to have the girl placed with a suitable family representative.

The search uncovered over 15 grams of meth and 14 grams of cocaine, cell phones, drug trafficking paraphernalia and an air pistol replica handgun.

Both the male and female were taken into custody and subsequently released. Mandy Jo Squakin, 28, is now facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine. RCMP did not say if the male is facing any charges.
