The process of reviewing and approving the City of Penticton’s annual budget is now complete with council adopting the 2019-2023 five-year financial plan bylaw during its regular council meeting earlier this week.

Council set a tax increase of 3.6 per cent to deliver a wide range of city services supporting the 2019 focus of public safety and security, planning for growth and development, asset management and public accountability and financial transparency.

“The city thanks all residents who participated in the 2019 budget process by providing feedback at both open house events or by sharing their input through the budget survey hosted on www.shapeyourcitypenticton.ca,” said chief financial officer, Jim Bauer.

Full details on the 2019-2023 Financial Plan and 2019 Corporate Business Plan can be found on the City’s website at www.penticton.ca.
