Photos: Sick rides came out to support sick kids at the Penticton Shriners Show & Shine

The annual event, held in Okanagan Falls, benefits the Shriners Care for Kids Program

The Penticton Shriners Club #20 helped the kids and did it in style at their 7th annual Show & Shine Car Show on Saturday.

Dozens of vintage and new cars flooded Kenyon Park on Aug. 24 for the event, with all profits from the show going to the Shriners Care for Kids Program. According to the event website, children with various medical conditions are transported and cared for at various Shriner’s Hospitals throughout Canada and the United States and first class medical service is provided at no charge to the families.

The Eastern Star Club of Oliver served up both breakfast and lunch for the event, which saw hundreds coming out to check out the sick rides. There was also a silent auction and 50/50 draw as part of the family-friendly event.
