Powwow honours children

Between the Lakes powwow devotes Sunday to children

Sunday, as the Between the Lakes Powwow started its final day for 2018, the focus was on children. “Honouring the children in our community was about thanking them for being on that positive path,” said organizer Kristine Jack. “There are so many kids looking for role models.”

Jack hopes that other children and youth see their peers being honoured and understand how many possibilities there are for them. No matter how hard it is, what it is there is always so many things they can do with that little push.
