There will be a special visitor in Penticton next weekend for the annual Dragon Boat Festival.
A beautifully restored teak dragon boat from Hong Kong, which originally participated in the races at the 1986 Expo in Vancouver, will be in the waters of Skaha Lake on Sept. 7 and Sept. 8.

This is a great opportunity for paddlers and members of the general public who would like a chance not only to come and see it but go out on Skaha Lake for a paddle.
The boat holds 18 people, plus drummer and steersperson. It was restored in the Salmon Arm and is in the care of the Shuswap Association for Rowing and Paddling.
