Drivers heading south along Skaha Lake Road will be forced to detour after a traffic signal pole was damaged this morning.

The pole was damaged and needs replacing at the Kinney Avenue intersection.

Instead of Skaha Lake Road, drivers are being advised to use either South Main Street or McKenzie Street for southbound traffic.

Work to replace the police at the intersection is expected to be finished by 5 p.m. and traffic control will be at the intersection for the day.

People travelling north along Skaha Lake Road will not be affected by the road closure.
