Single motor vehicle accident in Penticton

Truck hits power pole on Dartmouth Drive

Traffic is down to one lane on Dartmouth Drive, near Carmi Avenue, after a vehicle struck a power pole on Friday afternoon.

The southbound lane is closed in the area while first responders wait to clear the scene.

A pickup truck received front end damage. No one in the vehicle was seriously injured.

The City of Penticton utility is on scene.

“There is serious damage to the power pole so city electrical is here and they are going to have to replace the entire pole and all the services up there,” said Penticton Fire Department Capt. Rob Trupp
