The South Okanagan General Hospital emergency department will close from 6 p.m. Thursday until 8 a.m. Friday due to staffing shortages again.

During this time, all other inpatient services will continue as normal at the Oliver hospital.

Interior Health regrets this temporary change to normal operations, they said in an email. The emergency is normally open 24/7.

If you need emergency care go to Penticton Regional Hospital at 550 Carmi Ave.

This is the second time in a month that the South Okanagan General Hospital emergency department has had to close for lack of doctors.
